I find it interesting that the tone of the article indicates that the cost of fuel will rise as a governmental form of deterrent to driving, rather than a natural result of supply and demand. They're saying, "it should happen so everybody will stop driving their evil evil cars," and not, "it will happen because fossil fuels are running out." Yet another example of a society that wants the government to solve not only all of their problems, but yours as well, and any problem that may happen to arise in the future. Look, I'm all for green energy (no matter how much I hate the term "green"), so long as it's cheap, efficient, and I can use as much of it as I want. The problem with the current government proposals are that none of the three criteria I mentioned are met. Not a one. They aren't cheap (Cap and Trade raises taxes on damn near everything), they aren't efficient (solar and wind are pretty much a joke), and I wouldn't be able to use as much as I want (they've already talked about rationing). Pretty soon, we're all going to have to buy $5 lightbulbs full of mercury--and made in China, I might add. This guy might be onto something. Then again, we've heard this story before...

Do not mess with a senior citizen wearing a t-shirt that says, "I am a motherfucker."
And please, send the Amber Lamps.

Lindsay Lohan, milk-a-holic, sues for $100 million. I wish I was surprised at this, but I just find it both funny and sad. I think she's jealous--the baby in the commercial is way better looking. Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco on the health care bill: “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.” And, "Health insurance reform is about jobs." [full story] McCaskill called me a fucking idiot, but this person just assumes that I'm a fucking idiot. I don't know which is worse.

So I'm looking at the census form, wondering why they want this information. I mean, the census is to count people living in a state so as to determine the number of representatives for that state (and taxes, naturally). (Visit your local hypertext US Constitution!) I mean, they ask for my birthday, my phone number, my race, and my name, but they don't seem to care if I'm an American citizen. So I was contemplating just answering question 1, but then got to thinking that I might be "required by law" to answer all questions. ( Yeah, guess I am...) Dang. While I don't want to tell them anything more than "1" (not that they don't have all my info, anyway, but the census, imo, is just an attempt to make it easier for the USSA government to apportion entitlements and redraw district lines in an attempt to gain votes and retain power for the incumbent politicians, justify pork spending, reinforce the idea of passive unquestioning obedience with an "innocent" little questionnaire asking for "innocent" information that by the way can get you fined if you don't comply, and... and now I've gone cross-eyed...)... Big parenthetical statement. Lemme start over. So I want to answer "1," but I don't want to be fined/harassed/put on a list somewhere (er, another list). So instead of passive obedience, how bout a little passive resistance? Pick my name for the 2010 Census! - My real name
- Res I. Dent
- Chuck U. Farley
- Eat A. Dick (or Suckem I. Dick)
- Barrack H. Obama
- Jesus H. Christ
- Praise B. Allah
- Baal Z. Bub
- Franklin D. Roosevelt (or other presidents; JFK, George W Bush, and so on)
- Mao Z. Tung
- Amir I. Khan
- Ur N. Ass
- Artoo D. Two
- Prince S. Leia
- James T. Kirk
- Rand L. Thor (too obscure?)
- Belg R. Ion (slightly less obscure?)
- Shad R. Kai
- Elm N. Ster
- Howard P. Lovecraft
- Edgar A. Poe
- Shivadestroyer O. Worlds
Come up with some more! Civil disobedience in passive, silly, non-prosecutable forms ftw!

And that's why I'm a libertarian. More commie care fun: [/url] used to move budget voting along when there is a stalemate--not intended for use when passing laws) [6.]Thanks to "deem and pass" House is "deemed to have passed" the Senate bill without ever having to vote on it [7.]Begin taxing immediately for commie care which will not go into effect for the next four years [8.]Continue to ignore fact that Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid will be broke by 2030 [/ul] [full article]Also, this: (h/t RD DAVIS)

Comrades, welcome to the new Socialist States of America where to be a citizen you have to buy something. The Founders would be ashamed to see what we have let happen to this once great Country.

Comrades, welcome to the new Socialist States of America where to be a citizen you have to buy something. The Founders would be ashamed to see what we have let happen to this once great Country. But it's for your own good!!! I was looking at a message board this morning and somebody was asking if all these "right wingers bashing universal health care" (something like that) had actually read the bill, or if they were just buying into "Fox news propaganda" (something like that). I was like, NOBODY has read it!! The bill that passed isn't even the final version! I'm just wondering how this student loan thing is going to work. Wonder how bad I'm screwed...

In case you haven't known me for more than like five minutes, I would like for you all to know that I FUCKING HATE PETA!!!
Therefore, I love this:
Also, Penn and Teller normally wear nice suits when doing this show; it is beyond awesome that they are dressed in full leather biker gear for this one.

Another good one: Penn and Teller, Bullshit--War on Drugs(Sorry, not a YouTube, gonna have to follow the link.) I wholeheartedly agree with the message, but I don't trust their numbers (numbers can say whatever you want them to say). Irrelevant, either way you look at it. And the steamroller thing is fucking awesome. (I'd thought I liked Sheriff Joe, though; eh, I still agree with him about immigration...)

Walk Naked In America Day
Don't forget to mark your calendars. As you may already know, it is a sin for a Muslim male to see any woman other than his wife naked and if he does, he must commit suicide. So next Saturday at 1 PM Eastern Time, all American women are asked to walk out of their house completely naked to help weed out any neighborhood terrorists. Circling your block for one hour is recommended for this anti-terrorist effort. All patriotic men are to position themselves in lawn chairs in front of their houses to demonstrate their support for the women and to prove that they are not Muslim terrorist sympathizers. Since Islam also does not approve of alcohol, a cold 6-pack at your side is further proof of your patriotism. The American government appreciates your efforts to root out terrorists and applauds your participation in this anti-terrorist activity. God bless America !
Sorry everybody, I'm busy Saturday. At least for an hour. ;D
