the MM comes out last, if we really need monsters to play, the monsters in Desert of des. set, on the roleplay side of the card they are 4th ed stats. Hmm... they would probably have the cards online, wouldn't they? DL and use those stats. That's a great idea! (Of course, I could see Wizo not releasing those cards for dl until 4e comes out. They're being pretty tight with 4e previews. Desert comes out in Nov, so I guess we'll find out then...) The adventure is hardback, and has some quick start rules. A hardback book seems like it would have a pretty big adventure in it, probably more than we can play through before the other books come out (if we decide to make the switch). And I'm not sure what exactly "quick start rules" would include, but surely stats for some little critters, at least. Also, the 3.0 PHB has a handful of monster stats in the back (goblins, skels and the like, appropriate challenges for low lvl PCs, but there is a red dragon, for some reason...), and I could see the same for the 4e PHB. Of course, we could always retool the co-op game and turn our current characters into 4e versions of themselves. If we did that, we would need bigger monsters! (I'm not sure that's the best course of action, though; we're pretty high level, possibly epic by then, and converting could be a major pain.)

Warlocks are core. Nice. ;D Been hearing that for a while, but is that a warlock warlock, or a renamed sorcerer warlock? Funny that I think that warlocks are super-awesome and I've played one only once, as an NPC, in one adventure... Edit: Just read it (scroll down...) (today or 9/19 3:00pm) (paraphrase: tieflings are core, and warlocks fit story-wise, so warlocks are core). But will the warlock still be the blast-all-day, cast-all-day thing that he is in 3.x? Damn you, next year! Why can't you be now?! (Actually, the way they talk, wizards are gonna be "cast-all-day" so that kinda takes a little something away from the 'lock, now doesn't it? Speculation is fun! And annoying! Booyaka!)

Hmm. Maybe the change that I already made is what this is... I dunno. They told me that the delivery estimate had changed, but for Keep on the Shadowfells, not the PHB. Guess I'll wait and see...

The Pit Fiend, 4e style. Hmm, doesn't seem to have a whole lot of that pit fiend flavor, but irresistible command is kinda cool. No fireball sucks, though. Course, having said that, I must also say that raw stats with nothing else to go on (like the rules!) really doesn't tell me much.

Wow, the 4e haters are out if force today. It's going to be an interesting few days on the boards.

Looks like you can find all your 4e stuff right here. The fan created stuff, anyway.

Yeah, that guy's kind of a good artist.
I particularly like the one with the dragon head outside the library window.
