First off, great game last night. I had a blast. I really like the more challenging fight.
Second, there were some questions about the villain we were fighting so i went back through my notes and found this info the party does know about him. It might come up in future games.
Radaghast the Merciless was a Wizard who 100 years ago tried to take over the human lands to the south with the help of a powerful demon. After a huge battle, he was defeated in a huge explosion, but was trapped on a different plane of existence. Now he has returned to this Plane as a Lich , and was seen by the party in the presence of Orcus.
This might not be much help in the next game but I thought I would post it anyway!!

Thanks! I had fun, too. It seemed to me that we were just walking through all the encounters in previous adventures, so I wanted to make this one more challenging. I had a lot of fun writing the adventure, and I hope that everybody had as much fun playing it.
The info on Radaghast is good. Hope I didn't screw anything up with the dream thing. Hmm... Could the "different plane of existence" be the Region of Dreams? (See the Manual of the Planes appendix for info)

it was nice to actually have to fight a battle for once... that had been my intention as well... anway, I enjoyed it and I found the dream sequences to be particularly interesting... nice touch... I think I would have enjoyed it even more if I hadn't been so sleepy, that wont be a problem when we can start earlier next year (crossing fingers)... oh, and FYI Jade will win the monkey over eventually... oh yes... he will be her play thing... ;D

Thank you, thank you! My ego is happy, and thanks you for stroking it. I agree that the adventure was a little too long; sometimes I just get going when I'm writing and can't make myself stop! I realize this, and the "denouement" was because of that reason (we tend to kill the bbeg and then the adventure just ends with no follow up, so I thought I should put a little closing scene in; I hope you thought it was more cool than dumb...). I also noticed a lack of loot for the fighter types. I rolled randomly for the most part, and much of the treasure consisted of personal items for the NPCs, which just happened to be casters. Sorry about that. I think everybody had their moment to shine, though, so hopefully a lack of swag didn't hurt too much... (And speaking of loot, redshirt, did you get two spellbooks or only one? I believe you guys found two--Ouwe and Isha?--but I can't remember if I gave you the second. I had intended to have that one on a separate piece of paper to give you when you looted the room so that you could maybe see what you were up against, but never did that. I think you guys looted the room, but Brendel was dead and so I didn't have to worry about it at the time. But I can't remember if I gave it to you later. Let me know and I'll either email it or bring it to work.) I'm not accustomed to many DMs in the same group, and I kind of hate to point this out, but Lilentra escaped. She is a lilitu (from Fiendish Codex I, the demon one; she's like a super succubus) cleric 11 (lilitus cast as cleric 9 already, so I added 2 more levels to make her CR 14) with Demonic and Trickery domains (I think; I may have changed them but didn't note it if I did). She's a cleric of Orcus, so Demonic and Death might be more appropriate domains for her to have. At least that's what she was in this adventure; she may be more buff in the next, but that might not be up to me... She has some really nice gear, too, but I won't bother to list it here. Note that she doesn't know that Radaghast sent us to bust up her operation, but if she did, she would be super pissed at him. Since she doesn't know, she has no problem working with Radaghast; after all, she assumes that they both work for Orcus (Radaghast sees Orcus as a peer...scary...). At least that's my take on it. I could be wrong, depending on how the rest of you interpret the situation (I've been wrong before, but I guess that's what makes the co-op game interesting!). @ Jade: Mook isn't interested. While it is only natural that you would be attracted to him (despite the fact that his pot belly isn't big enough), you have nothing that he wants. True, you have the right parts, but you walk upright, you have fur only on your head (and it's the wrong color, besides), and you cover the good stuff up with metal (which is prudish and obviously a sign of weakness). Mook is flattered since you are very beautiful (for an elf, he assumes), but it would just never work. He doesn't want to hurt you, but he doesn't have the same feelings. There are lots of fish in the sea, and he knows that you'll find somebody, someday. He loves you, but isn't in love with you. (It's the hat, isn't it? The ladies love the hat! )

clearly Mook has never seen a naked woman... Jade thinks he's just being shy and hard to get.... besides, she doesn't want a husband... just someone to have a good time with between adventures.... heck, look what she has to pick from!!! A little person who fancies himself to be a dragon, a hot cleric babe who's uptight, some tree hugging newb, and a pathetic, carpet riding wizard who keeps dying! (she's really missing that old dwarf) Wont Mook at least try on that saddle?

As he's already said, Mook isn't interested.
The "tree-hugging newb," on the other hand...

It would be a celestial monkey, but unfortunately it would vanish as soon as it died. Now, you could eat it while alive, but it would be uncooked. And I'm pretty sure raw monkey tastes, well, funky.

Brass Monkey? THAT funky monkey? (Just a little 'Beastie Boys' reference, he he. For those of you hip enough to remember.) Oh yeah, I'm hip enough to remember. It took a lot of restraint to not mention that funky monkey. Course, I would prefer to pass the mic the mic the mic because, listen alla y'all, it's a sabotage. (Dang, wrong thread.)

and uh.... that's one STUPID monkey.... Which one, butt monkey or tiger-master monkey? On topic: when exactly is the next game? xombie said it would be awhile, but I would like an idea of when, if possible. Also, a question for the group about druid abilities. We're following 3.0 rules for the most part, with some 3.5 rules thrown in if we like em. (Example: we use the 3.0 duration for ability enhancement spells like bull's strength, but allow 3.5 classes like dragon shaman. Also, we use some 3rd party stuff, like Jade's cold bow of ass-kicking.) My question/request regards using some 3.5 rules for my druid. In 3.0, I can't wild shape into a dire or legendary animal (I can change to a dire animal at 12th lvl; that's a 3.0 ability). In 3.5, I can't change into any animal with more hit dice than I have levels; this would allow me to wild shape into some legendary animals, which I would really like to do. I think I have the support of redshirt and Tough Guy Light on this. What do gir and xombie think? Also, 3.5 druids can spontaneously cast summon nature's ally (much like a cleric can spontaneously cast cure spells). Should my druid be allowed to do this? I don't care about this one so much, but I think redshirt is thinking that I should get this ability. What do you guys think?
