Kat and I played Friday Night Magic last night. It was a booster draft with 10th, Planer Chaos and Future Sight. We had eight people show for the tournament, so they ran three rounds of Swiss. No top four. I can’t complain, ever one that played got a foil Goblin Ringleader promo and the entry fee was just 10 some thing, the price of your packs.
We started the draft with 10th. My first five picks had me in black, red, green, white and an artifact. I ended up in black/red as all ways. I didn’t expect to do well so I decided to just have some fun and grabbed a Phage early on. I have never actually played her before. Later on in the Planer Chaos pack I pulled a Urborg, Tomb of Yawg and thought I might actually get her in play. I never did but I did finale take first place at a FNM. Which is saying a lot since Kat and I had no idea what any of the new cards do. We really slowed the whole draft down with our picks, sorry RMS. So I got first place and won six more packs for my trouble but RMS is the real winner. Why? Because he pulled THIS! I didn’t get really good stuff out of my packs but I did get an $8 foil rare and traded it for a Horizon Canopy. I’m thinking the canopy might go good with Crucible of Worlds.
After the turny, Kat and I went to Wal-Mart and got some X-box live points. We went home and down loaded Carcassonne and Catan. I was up till 4 this morning playing. FUN AS HELL! I haven’t played against any body on line yet but I did unlock 5 of the 12 achievements my first game of Carcassonne. You guys got to check it out.
