Alright. I beat it Sunday night, but did not receive the 1,000,000 pitas promised; only 100,000. I started again and am up to about 350,000 (give or take) so far. Taking forever! The game's a lot easier when all my weapons are tuned up! I've died 3 times (somewhere at the beginning, and I'm sure it wasn't an enemy that I can shoot that killed me...). Ammo doesn't seem to be too big of a problem this time around--course, it takes far fewer shots to kill a guy when my weapons are uber. I'm about ready to go into the castle.
I have a treasure map, but the dang thing isn't very specific. I know where to look, but not exactly where, if you know what I mean (last night I was standing right on top of something, but couldn't figure out where the hell it could be--nothing above me, and no way to go below me that I could find). Oh well.
I will get the Love Tap 2000, though, mark my words!
Oh, and it seems my version of the game has an extra bonus mode. Separate Paths or something. I haven't played it, though.

Nice. I love your hit ratio.
Just beat it for the 2nd time, little under 14 hrs. Started Assignment Ada, and it's pissing me off! I will beat it, though, oh yes.
And ig, I'm not ignoring you, my phone card ran out and I haven't gotten a new one yet. I'll call ya tomorrow.

Um yeah, when you get the typwriter the hit ratio goes way down, im surprised it was that high. And on the Ada quest, SAVE!!!!!!!! your TMP ammo!!!!!!!!!! till the end

thanks for the tip, gonna be hard, though, since I never have enough ammo anyway... I assume that I can run past some of these dudes?

Probably, but you lose the chance of missing more ammo.

What ammo?! They don't drop anything! Well, rarely, but it seems like I use more than I get. I'll keep trying; the harder it is, the greater the sense of accomplishment when I beat it.
And hopefully it'll happen before GH: Rock the 80s is out, cause if not, I may never beat it!

Hey guys I just found some neat info.... In the PS2 version, Capcom has thrown the mini-games (and a new one called Movie Browser) into a new sub-section called Extras, rather than listing them all out like in the Cube version.
Movie Browser
This is completely new to the PS2 version. After beating the game, you get a new option under Extras called Movie Browser. With this, you can go back and replay all the cut scenes that are in the game. [glow=red,2,300]And yes, you can replay the Knife Fight and practice it. That's something everyone should do if they plan on replaying the game over and over.[/glow] Also, when you beat Separate Ways, a new selection will be available to view the cut scenes in that mini-game.

Chicago Typewriter
In the Cube version, to unlock the CT in the main game, you had to beat Assignment Ada. Capcom has swapped this around a bit. Beat Separate Ways and you can buy the CT in the main game. Beat Assignment Ada to get the CT in Separate Ways.

This explains Joeys pain........
Ammo Rarity
It seems that ammo is MUCH rarer to come by, or Capcom has upped the baddies health on Normal mode, because I'm running out of ammo quicker, and I'm a conservative. I never ran out of ammo in the early part of the first encounter in the village town, but I ran out of bullets fighting the third Ganado! It seems Capcom got complaints about how there was an abundance of ammo in the game, so they toned it down in the PS2 version

Many posts to reply to...but I just got a new keyboard and I guess I should break it in.
Yeah, I knew about all the Extras stuff, but I doubt I watch the movies. The knife fight isn't too tough. It's the other fights with Krauser that piss me off. I hate that guy!
Found out about Separate Ways Monday, and played it, and...now I have a machine gun. HO HO HO.
Separate Ways wasn't near as tough as Assign Ada. I had some trouble at the beginning (that lack of ammo), so I just ran away from everybody and picked stuff up. Once I got into the church I was okay, and never had anymore ammo problems (and I killed pretty much everybody after that). It was a close thing during the fight with Krauser, and I missed a couple items I needed. The bad thing about that is that you fight Saddler right after that, but there was some ammo to pick up in his room.
Man, that typewriter is awesome!
I don't know if I'll ever get my time down to 3.12, but I've got two weeks to work on it so we'll see.

Too bad I don't have a Wii...
I haven't been playing much, lately; been working on DnD, and Rock the 80s came out, so those have been eating most of my time. I might give RE4 a rest, and then come back to it later. (It was getting kind of old.)
