I rock the 80's so hard it hurts! Hurts my hand that is. Oh, yeah!!! Indeed. My arms are numb, my head hurts, my fingers are bloody, and my axe is still smoking. A few thoughts: Wrathchild--Awesome song, but much like Godzilla, playing it on GH just doesn't seem like the song I know. I suppose that the GH people focus on the solo parts and not the rhythm (and me being a former "bass player" I focus on the bass, I guess...). Seventeen and Nothin But a Good Time--I hate to say it, but I actually enjoyed playing these glam songs. Seventeen is actually pretty challenging! Police Truck--Fun to play, but the changed lyrics made it seem wrong, kind of like Laid to Rest on GH2. Give the game an M rating and keep the original lyrics. I mean c'mon. Ballroom Blitz and Radar Love--They sound absolutely nothing like the original songs, and that made them annoying. Why, I must ask, would you go with covers of covers? Why not just use the original? Would that make these songs not fit the 80s theme? Then pick different songs!! Heat of the Moment--It seems like the GH people wanted to make it a metal song, so why didn't they just go all the way with it? I mean, heavy verses and then soften the chorus down softer than the original? Why? Round and Round--Surprise!! I Wanna Rock--I do indeed wanna rock! This is the most fun song I have ever played on any GH. I'm afraid I'll never gold star it, simply because I can't stop banging my head while playing it. Good times! Caught in a Mosh--Sometimes, the better you know a song, the harder it is to play... Play With Me--At first I was pissed that this was the final encore. Then I played it, and it's pretty fun! Not a bad choice, even if I had never heard it before. No bonus songs--lame. No Lars--also lame. C'mon, there was death metal in the 80s! (Well, the late 80s...) Well, I beat medium, and got my coffin. I 5 starred most of the songs. Now to 5 star them all and move on to hard. I guess I'm gonna have to trudge through easy to get the fish, too. |

Yeah, I know it's late. But GH3 has eaten my soul. I got to the final battle with Lou, but haven't beaten him. I checked on the intrawebs and found out where that Dragonforce song is--gotta beat Lou on any difficulty, and then it's unlocked. Not tonight, though.
And by the way, the final stage of GH3 is frickin awesome: Raining Blood, Number of the Beast, and One (and an instrumental that I've heard before--haven't played it yet, though). Don't get better than that! (There for a little bit I thought I was gonna gold star One...uh, no.)
I'm gonna need some help on co-op to unlock some more songs. Hopefully, once unlocked I can play them solo.
Oh, and we were right--the new wireless controller is, in fact, a tad shorter than the generic controller. The neck is longer, but the keys are a tad closer to the body. Dunno why.

Black Sabbath Pack includes songs all made famous by Black Sabbath such as "N.I.B." *, "Sweet Leaf" *, and "War Pigs" *.
